Our Yoga classes are specialized for those who seek to regain their flexibility, strength or injury rehabilitation. Our amazing instructor John, is able to adapt to anyone’s physical capabilities and to make them feel confident and comfortable in his classes.

John Ahonen (E-RYT200) has been practicing yoga for 9 years and teaching for 5 of those. John completed his training at Downward Dog in Toronto, ON. Currently he has a 350-hr training in Ashtanga Vinyasa and is currently completing Level 3 of his Thai Yoga Massage training at Still Light Center, also in Toronto.  John's classes are known to get a little funky using everything from the sounds of nature to urban music to create an inviting atmosphere and set the tone for practice. Infusing ancient teachings from Yoga philosophy, Buddhist Dharma, meditation techniques, strong anatomical alignment principles and a good dose of humour, John will help guide you through your practice to approach even the most difficult poses with intelligence and fun. Some of his favourite poses to help people break through their limiting beliefs in their practice are Bird of Paradise and Handstand.
